Wander along medieval streets in mountaintop towns and villages in Tuscany discovering the civilization that created the dishes you will learn to make.

Day 1: Welcome to Chianti
We will pick you up in Florence and we will head to the beautiful Chianti region, where you will check-in to your farmhouse. In the late afternoon we will start a bread making culinary workshop with Beppe at the farmhouse, learning the art of making bread, focaccia and pizza. Beppe “Il Panaio” is our trusted baker and bread expert; he will talk to you about the different kinds of flours and the characteristics of the ancient grains.
A welcome culinary feast served at the farmhouse will complete the course.

Day 2: Wood workshop + Chianti Classico Winery + Discover the Chianti region
Our day will begin with a visit to a wood-turning workshop. Here, you will meet a “modern day Geppetto” named Giorgio, a local artisan who set up a beautiful shop in Chianti to custom make his unique creations using local olive wood as his medium. Bowls, boards, small objects, and everything and anything that Giorgio can imagine on this day will be brought to life through his skillful demonstration as he shows us his mastery of various machines and materials.
Afterwards, we will stroll over to one of the most historic wineries in the Chianti Classico area. A private tour of this stunning estate including a wine tasting will be followed by a lunch with the owner on the property. After lunch, we will enjoy a walk in the charming medieval village of Montefioralle, considered one of the most beautiful hamlets in Italy, and in the famous Greve in Chianti.
Dinner is in a local trattoria nearby, trying the best pasta you’ve ever had!
Day 3: Say Cheese! Cheese Making Demonstration & Cheese Themed Lunch + Discover San Gimignano
Our journey will begin with a visit to a goat & sheep cheese farm in Chianti.
We will visit to the dairy and will enjoy a unique cheese making workshop & demonstration. We'll sit down to a
cheese-themed tasting lunch with homemade specialties paired with locally made wine.
After lunch we will take a walk in the medieval village of San Gimignano. This ancient Etruscan walled town is known for its medieval towers seen from miles away. We will take a stroll through the traditional shops and streets, and also visit an interesting silver workshop, where Matteo, a young and talented silversmith, will show how he transforms shapeless silver into marvelous objects.

Day 4: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Honey + Walk in the vineyards with Prosecco
Our day will begin with a visit to a family-owned honey and olive oil producer: we will start with a guided tour through this beautiful hilltop farm in Chianti, learning to identify several different varieties of olive trees as well as interesting facts related to the olive oil and honey production. We will then have a light lunch with a lecture on best honey & olive oil food combinations, accompanied by local wine.

Day 5, Wednesday,Day Trip to Florence.
By private transport, we'll take a 1/2 hour ride into Florence for a walking and shopping tour. Lunch on your own.

Day 6: Cashmere + “Under the Tuscan Sun” Lunch Experience + Siena
Our day will begin with a visit to a unique cashmere goat farm in Chianti, where you will learn everything you ever wanted to know about cashmere: the habits of cashmere goats, how they are raised, how their fiber is harvested and how it is processed into a finished garment. For those who love animals and incredibly soft and pure cashmere, this is going to be an amazing experience. We will have a guided tour of the farm, followed by a perfect “Under the Tuscan Sun” light lunch experience. After lunch we will head to Siena, where we will sip an espresso with the traditional 'Senesi' sweet in the Piazza del Campo, imagining the drama of the historic Palio which has taken place there since the Middle Ages.

We will sit down at the farmhouse over a dinner of Florentine steak.
Day 7: Painting Class & Afternoon Cooking Class with Farewell Sunset Dinner and Live Opera Concert
This morning is all about slowing down and savoring the peaceful beauty of Chianti! You will spend the morning at the farmhouse, enjoying a painting workshop with our artist friend Angela, bringing to life the Tuscan landscape in watercolors made into postcards ready to be mailed home to your friends and loved ones as a unique memory of your holiday!

We will close the week in a grand finale with a cooking class of traditional dishes, followed by a delectable alfresco dinner at sunset of the meals we prepared, paired with special wines chosen by our sommelier/chef. But here's the twist: dinner will be accompanied by a live concert with the best arias of Italian Opera. We'll toast our farewells to our new and old friends over music, good food, wine, and laughter.
