Fall in the Tuscan Countryside

Wander along medieval streets in mountaintop towns and villages in Tuscany discovering the civilization that created the dishes you will learn to make.

Day 1: Welcome to Chianti

We will pick you up in Florence and we will head to the beautiful Chianti region, where you will check-in to your farmhouse.  In the late afternoon we will start a bread making culinary workshop with Beppe at the farmhouse, learning the art of making bread, focaccia and pizza. Beppe “Il Panaio” is our trusted baker and bread expert;  he will talk to you  about the different kinds of flours and the characteristics of the ancient grains.

A welcome culinary feast served at the farmhouse will complete the course.

Day 2: Wood workshop + Chianti Classico Winery + Discover the Chianti region

Our day will begin with a visit to a wood-turning workshop. Here, you will meet a “modern day Geppetto” named Giorgio, a local artisan who set up a beautiful shop in Chianti to custom make his unique creations using local olive wood as his medium. Bowls, boards, small objects, and everything and anything that Giorgio can imagine on this day will be brought to life through his skillful demonstration as he shows us his mastery of various machines and materials.

Afterwards, we will stroll over to one of the most historic wineries in the Chianti Classico area. A private tour of this stunning estate including a wine tasting will be followed by a lunch with the owner on the property. After lunch, we will enjoy a walk in the charming medieval village of Montefioralle, considered one of the most beautiful hamlets in Italy, and in the famous Greve in Chianti.

Dinner is in a local trattoria nearby, trying the best pasta you’ve ever had!
